The 5 pillars of Islam

Islam has five primary obligations, or pillars of faith, that each Muslim must fulfill in his or her lifetime.
Shahada(Faith)
The belief that "There is no god but God, and Muhammad is the Messenger of God
Prayer (Salat)
The ritual prayer required of every Muslim five times a day throughout their lifetime.
Sawm (Fasting)
fasting during the holy month of Ramadan, is the fourth pillar of Islam
Hajj (Pilgrimage)
The Hajj is a once in a lifetime duty that is the peak of their religious life
Zakat (Almsgiving)
The act of giving a portion of a Muslim’s wealth to those in need throughout their lifetime.

Unity in Diversity: Celebrating the Richness of Islamic Heritage

March 23 - April 20 2023

Ramadhan

This is the most significant event in the Islamic calendar, and it occurs in the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar. During Ramadan, Muslims fast from dawn until sunset every day for a month. The fast is broken at sunset with a meal called Iftar.

April 21 2023

Eid Al-Fitr

This is a festival that marks the end of the month-long fast of Ramadan. It is celebrated on the first day of the Islamic month of Shawwal, and it is a time for Muslims to come together and celebrate with family and friends.

June 27 2023

Hajj

This is an annual pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia, and it is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. Hajj is obligatory for all able-bodied Muslims who can afford to undertake the journey at least once in their lifetime.
